Podium results for Holland at Highland and Lincoln

Chase Holland raced at two Illinois tracks during the second full week in August and turned in a pair of top-three finishes.

First up, on Wednesday, Holland visited the quarter-mile Highland Speedway where he competed for a $2,500 top prize in a 32-car DIRTcar UMP Modified field. He qualified his Bower Farms No. 45 Modified third in his group and took second in his heat race. He went on to pick up three spots in the 25-lap feature to finish as runner-up, 0.557 seconds behind Ben Harmon. Dean Hoffman, Kenny Wallace and Damian Kiefer completed the top five.

On Friday, Holland took on the quarter-mile Lincoln Speedway as one of 19 Modified drivers in the pit area. He led his group in qualifying, won his heat and started sixth in the 20-lap A-Main. He climbed three positions in the race and came home third, following Cole Falloway and Ray Bollinger under the checkered flag. Carter Sinkhorn and Brian Lynn were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Holland was also entered in Saturday’s event at Charleston Speedway, but he did not compete.
