Chase Holland continues MARS season at Quincy Raceways and Highland Speedway
The Midwest Auto Racing Series (MARS) Modified Championship rolled on over the weekend with Chase Holland competing in both $2,000-to-win features in Illinois.
On Friday at the quarter-mile Quincy Raceways, Holland struggled during qualifying for the 26-car field and finished seventh in his heat race. However, he drove his WEST Trucking No. 45 Modified to third in the B-Main, putting him 18th on the grid to begin the 30-lap feature. He climbed two spots to finish 16th.
With 22 MARS Modifieds at Highland Speedway on Saturday, Holland qualified with the eighth-quickest time and claimed the runner-up spot in his heat on the quarter-mile oval. After starting third in the 30-lap main event, he was running sixth when he nearly tumbled in turns three and four. He landed on all four wheels, but the incident relegated him to a 19th-place result.
Holland currently sits seventh in MARS Modified Championship points.
