Podium result for Holland at Tri-City Speedway on Memorial Day weekend

Chase Holland competed in a pair of UMP DIRTcar Modified programs over the weekend, claiming a best finish of third.

On Friday, Holland was part of a 22-car Modified field at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. He won his heat race on the 3/8-mile oval, putting his Industrial Dock & Door Company No. 45 machine third to begin the 20-lap feature. He finished third in the race, rounding out the podium behind Treb Jacoby and Timmy Hill. Kenny Wallace and Dean Hoffman completed the top five.

Holland took on the quarter-mile Fairbury (Illinois) Speedway the next night in a $2,000-to-win, 36-car Midwest Auto Racing Series (MARS) Modified championship program. He grabbed fourth in his heat and began the 30-lap feature from 15th on the grid. He finished a physical evening in the 13th position.

Holland elected to forego Sunday’s MARS show at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Illinois, but maintains the seventh position in the point standings.
