Holland visits Mitchell’s Motorplex victory lane
Chase Holland raced in his home state of Mississippi for the first time since the spring on Saturday evening. In his return to the Magnolia State, he grabbed his 17th feature victory of the year with a triumph at Mitchell’s Motorplex in Perkinston.
Driving his familiar Industrial Dock & Door Co. No. 45 Modified, Holland won his heat race from the pole on the 3/8-mile, high-banked clay oval. He also started on the pole in the 15-lap Modified feature. He led every circuit en route to the victory, with Robbie Roberts Jr., Bryan Powell, Rusty Cooper and Landen Jackson rounding out the top five.
