Chase Holland
Holland battles big in USMTS Mississippi invasion
Success, Mississippi's Chase Holland did his best to put on a show during the recent weekend, and a show is what he provided, joining the nation's finest open wheel modified aces in a United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) doubleheader at Hattiesburg Speedway and Mitchell's Motorplex on Friday and Saturday, April 10-11, respectively. When the dust finally settled, the Magnolia State ace found himself with one top-five finish, scored fourth from third at Hattiesburg on Friday. Adding to his evening's stat chart, Holland, who drove for the Shivers Family all weekend, launched the program with a runner-up performance in his respective heat. There were 31 cars on hand for the $5,000-to-win program.
Although unable to match Friday's overall outcome, Holland raced on to qualify for Saturday's A-Main, as well, scored 21st after starting sixth on the evening grid.
Holland will continue his 2026 campaign back in the super late model ranks, joining the MS State Championship Challenge Series at Hattiesburg Speedway and Whynot Motorsports Park. To learn more, visit the Series online at www.stateseries.com.
